All our company came Saturday- My husbands Dad and his wife Alene, his brothers Steven and Chuck, his wife Michelle and their son Kyle, his sister, her husband and their two kids, Marshall and Austin. That's ten people, folks! Lucky for them my Mom is out of town and all of them but Steven are staying at her house so nobody is sleeping on the floor. Dad and Alene brought their big travel trailer and are sleeping in that in the driveway. It's really nice! We've been having a blast- Saturday afternoon we took Dad and Alene to Dick's for a late lunch, then once everyone else got here we all went to the Bite of Seattle where we had dinner and/or dessert and the kids played in the fountain.
Yesterday (Sunday) we went to church in the morning then up to Deception Pass (my favorite place on earth so far) where we cooked hamburgers and hot dogs over a fire for lunch. We stayed at the north beach for a while then went up and let the kids swim in Cranberry Lake for the rest of the afternoon. We got home around 7:00 p.m.
The bad news is that Chuck woke with a toothache yesterday and didn't come with us because he was in a lot of pain and nobody could see him on Sunday. He went to the dentist at 7:00 a.m. today. I hope they fix his tooth so he can do some fun things with us.
I think today they/we're going to the locks where there is a fish ladder then to Ivar's on Lake Union for fish and chips. I'm at work but I think I may leave in time to go to Ivar's with everyone! We'll see how the day plays out.
I miss having a lot of family around but I really don't miss Utah. The past few days have been over 90 degrees and it reminded me how much I hated the heat! It's a lot of fun having Dave's family here, though. I forgot how much Michelle and I have in common and how much I missed her. Plus, we have a chance to get to know Richard (Dave's sister Julie's husband), Marshall and Austin. We moved right after Julie married and haven't been around the little boys at all. They're so cute and really funny. I'll post pictures of the vacation after we get them downloaded.
