All the Excitement

In all the excitement of having company I haven't blogged for a while. We had a great visit with Dave's family. I'll post some pictures once I get them downloaded.
We went to the church camp-out last night. It was fun for the kids (until Shane got blasted in the nose by a Frisbee and Chloe landed on her tail bone when a swing broke), but Dave's and my air mattress lost most of its air in the night so we ended up sleeping on the hard ground. That was probably the catalyst for the 2-relpax-800mg-ibuprofen-and-one-percocet migraine I had today. Hey, Carol- if you read this remind me to refill my relpax Monday, k? Carol is my cousin's wife and my brain most of the time since mine is absent. She even has a brain when she's pregnant (which she is at the moment).
The idea of spending our vacation CAMPING is NOT exciting me presently. We're working on getting a trailer, so that would help a little.
I've gone back on the strict part of the South Beach diet (for 2 weeks you eat no sugar- even fruit or starchy veggies!) So far I'm doing okay, but it's only been 2 days. Dave is doing it with me which makes it a little easier except he's prone to cheating...
Micaela (I have a link to her blog to the right) and her husband Ammon had a going away party tonight. They're moving to Colorado while Ammon does a Master's program. It was an 80's party so I put on Dave's shirt, put a belt around my hips, tucked my stretch pants into my socks and teased my bangs up as high as they would go. It's a good look for me (and oh-so natural as I was in my prime during the 80's).
My mom is at Cape Cod today. She called to tell me how fabulous it is. I'm a little jealous- I would've liked some of her lobster dinner... mmmm. Time to go eat b-b-q'ed cod. It just isn't the same as lobster!
