Barncats in Ellensburg

I spent two short days in Vegas last week as my brother got married on Tuesday (March 25). It was a fun trip- my mom and I went to the wedding in the median underneath the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign. It was pretty casual and fun. Then we had late lunch at Paris, Las Vegas. The buffet was really good. My long-time friend Heidi drove down from St. George, Utah after work Tuesday night and we talked and laughed til pretty late, then Wednesday we shopped and had lunch at Café Rio. I'd heard about their signature salad, so I had to try it. It was definitely as good as all that. My only regret was not getting to In-n-Out Burger while I was there. That was my excitement for the month!

Shane leaves tomorrow night for Washington D.C. with the Jr. High school band. He's a percussionist and I think he's really good. Takes after his Grammy. He'll be gone almost a week- I'll miss him terribly! He's usually the most cheerful one around the house. I'm really excited he gets to go, though.

Well, back to pretending I'm working hard. It's the calm before the storm.
