Barncats in Ellensburg

Can you believe Bothell threw a PARADE for hometown American Idol, Blake Lewis? I thought parades were for heroes. ANYWAY- of course I went because Brayden and Camille were marching in the parade. Blake went to their high school and Brayden's in the marching band- Camille's a cheerleader. I left work early to get to the parade by 3:30- staked out my place on the parade route near the end. At about 5:00 here come two police cars, one fire engine and one convertible carrying Blake and his security detail. Plus all the T.V. cameras and screaming girls. I barely got a picture of him. And where were the marching band and cheerleaders? The powers that be made them turn off after only 2 blocks. That means I didn't get to see them! Hello- that was basically the only reason I went. I was so mad.

Since I was able to get one good picture of Blake I had to post it, right? I also added a few pictures I stole from the Inglemoor High School website- In the Blaker Girls picture Camille is front and center! Brayden is somewhere in the band! The next post will contain pre-prom pictures of Camille, her best friend and their dates.
