Barncats in Ellensburg

Well, I guess it isn't a HUGE surprise that Jon didn't take the permanent position, but it was a pretty big surprise that when he turned it down they made Friday his last day. It's going to be pretty weird without him around here- maybe even boring. They are bringing him back while Scott's on vacation the week of Labor day, so we have that to look forward to, but since Scott will be gone the whole group won't be back together. It's a real bummer, but it was his choice, so we have to respect that. It does leave us in a lurch without a third writer, however. I'm not sure what H.R. is thinking we're going to do without that 3rd person. I know Tassoula is worried about it. It doesn't affect me that much because the number of jobs I have to proof doesn't change but it does affect Tassoula's mood, so I'm hoping we get some help in here!

Okay, anyone in the greater Seattle area thinking of getting pregnant, THINK TWICE. I swear, everyone I know that's pregnant (except Carol) is having problem pregnancies here. Micaela had horrendous pre-eclampsia, Brandi did the pre-term labor, now Marie has a rare and dangerous liver condition! This is not the place to be having babies, I'd have to say. Maybe it's the naturally soft water. I'm just glad I'm not having babies anymore!
