Sweeney Todd

I went to this movie with Marie a few weeks ago and I loved it. Of course, it was very Tim Burton-esque which was good, given the macabre story. I love love love Johnny Depp and to hear him sing well and on pitch was a treat. I really like the voice of the actor who played Anthony by the name of Jamie Campbell Bower. He's a pretty kid who's the same age as Camille. I was thinking this morning how surreal it must be for his friends and family now that he's been thrust into stardom. I wonder how young actors handle that? I guess the tabloids tell that story, right? It would be tough to suddenly lose all your anonymity. Add to that plenty of money for whatever they feel like doing (unfortunately for many, it's drugs) and it explains a lot of the crazy things happening in Hollywood.

Which reminds me how sad I am about the death of Heath Ledger. It's such a tragedy.

I jumped the hurdle into '40-something' last week- it wasn't as traumatic as I'd imagined it would be. Two weeks from today'll be Dave's and my 20th anniversary. So weird to think about. I was barely 21 when we got married. I felt so mature at the time, but I was really young. I feel lucky that I married the right guy the very first time. It doesn't happen very often anymore.
